Every day starts
with your eyes.
A free eye check at home, guided out loud from start to finish — plus a little help looking after your eyes through the hours you spend at a screen.
Free Online Test
Seven guided tests, all by voice — sharpness, colour, contrast, and the rest. A simple report at the end.
Iris Guard
Sits quietly while you work — watching your distance, your blinks, and when you're due a screen break.
Eye Workout
A guided set to ease screen strain and loosen your focus — palming, near-far, follow-the-dot and a blink reset.
Can you hear me?
Iris uses a spoken voice to guide you, with everything also written on screen. You should be hearing it right now.
If you continue silently, all instructions stay visible as text on screen.
Now, can I hear you?
You'll answer out loud during the tests. Allow microphone access when your browser asks, then say “hello” to check it's working.
How far back are you?
No camera? No problem. Just pick roughly how far back you'll be — big steps are about a metre each — and press continue.

Hold still a moment
Iris sizes the letters to exactly where you are. Look toward the camera and keep still for a few seconds — it locks on by itself, nothing to press. Nothing is recorded or sent — the picture never leaves this device.

Look right at the camera
About an arm's length away, both eyes open, glasses off if you can. Hold still for a few seconds.

Which eye do you really see with?
Hold both hands out at arm's length and form a small gap between your thumbs and fingers. Look through the gap with both eyes open and line it up on something across the room. Now, without moving your hands, close your left eye only.
Can your eyes team up close?
Hold a pen, pencil or your fingertip at arm's length. Focus on the very tip with both eyes, then slowly bring it toward your nose — keeping it single and in focus for as long as you can.
How do your eyes feel day to day?
Patients finish a check here — then choose where to book
Iris guides people through a full at-home eye screening. When something's worth a professional look, they're shown nearby practices and pick one to book with — that's the moment your practice should be on the list.
Applications are reviewed by a human. Listing is free while Iris is in its founding period.
Watching over your eyes
Iris keeps an eye on how close you're sitting, how often you blink, and when you're due a screen break. Pop out the mini monitor and it keeps watching while you work in other tabs and apps.
Turn the voice off with the speaker button and Guard nudges you with quiet system notifications instead — perfect for leaving it running in a background tab while you work.
Your results
Iris is for curiosity, not diagnosis — nothing here replaces a real eye exam, and nothing you did leaves this device.
